Mission: The Invasion
Location: Angel Grove City Centre
Timeline: 2145 Hours, November 17th 2050

The city below was in disarray, large groups of civilians running around trying to avoid the debris that was being thrown around by the large lizard creature which was tearing the cityscape apart. The large red zord flew in, taking a stationary position covering the juice bar below as a section of monorail was hurled at it, glancing off the zord.

"Hey, watch the paint job, ugly!" Damien yelled from inside his cockpit "Kilena, I'm drawing his attention. Try to get the monorail car off the track and out of the danger zone. Ellie, on me."

Kilena had already been on her way to do it and just nodded as she and the eager Zord ducked and dived through the lizard creature’s legs to do what she needed to do.

"With you, Red," Ellie replied. Taking the lead from Damien felt like all she had been doing to this point; he was the one that seemed to know what he was talking about, at least.

There was a low rumbling and the sound of concrete cracking as a large warehouse several blocks over had the roof begin to collapse as a large black, gold and red mass emerged from inside, firing it's laser cannons at the lizard creature.

"What the hell?" Damien asked "Is that... The Astro Megazord?"

“Different colour,” Kilena commented as soaring a glance to the support that was coming their way. It was hard to miss even as the eagle Zord connected its claws around the monorail cart and lifted it. “Hailing them though.” Kilena let out a surprised cry as she saw Spencer on the communication screen surrounded by people she did not know and then Valdana Raadax. “Oh my goddess is that Valdana Raadax?” Was her only question instead of anything else.

"Apparently," Jamie replied before anyone else did. "Who are you supposed to be?"

Kilena started to open her mouth to say more but Damien spoke up first.

"We're going to deal with pleasantries later. Black, Spencer, you've got toys coming in, get onboard. Orange and other blue... We're going to need to come up with another name for you, take the megaship and use it to deal with the Monorail so Kilena can form up. We're going to need to hit this guy together."

With orders being issued, Keon took the moment to take in the sights around them. Giant ships, even more giant lizards. Then the order caught up with him. 'Other Blue'? "It's Keon," he corrected absently as he turned to the controls. He tilted his head toward Valdana. "I assume you're going to be better suited for flying this thing, right?"

Spencer looked at Keon, and nodded as they headed onboard the new Voyager zords. "Good to see you, Red. That fake red bastard gave me the slip again when that lizard showed up. This is Keon, he's got Cyan - good man. Bad news - we lost Kyarah in transport, and the Silver crystal with her. Good news - we have two functional bases, one right outside the Grove and one down in Oz. You got shiny robots. I fought a goddamn guerrilla war down there. We'll save Kyarah later."

He turned to the others as he headed off the Megaship. "Follow our lead. Don't set off any worse alarms like you did the first time!"

“I gotcha as does Melody,” Dan said glancing back to the robot who was milling around at the back having followed Malcolm. Melody might have been a melody bot unit once upon a time but several upgrades had created quite a unique bit of machinery.

"So, big, scary giant lizard. Lots of Voyager Zords. Think we can take him?" Ellie wondered, checking in with the group.

"I believe this is where we say I need Megazord power, now!" Kilena murmured. She was the daughter of two ranger experts after all it was obvious as to why the next step was.

Spencer nodded at Kilena's assessment. It was almost like they hadn't been apart for weeks, like all the hell he'd been through had been worth it for this moment. "Right! Keon, stick by me. Call it, Red!"

“Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this bit! Damien exclaimed with glee “We need Megazord power, now!”

He pressed a control on the top left of his console, a light on either side of his crystal lighting up red, energy moving from the crystals into the two images; one of his helmet and the other of the Lion Voyager Zord. As it did, the wolf and bull zords took off from their positions on the ground, small thrusters keeping them airborne as they ended up in position with the crystal cores at the rear of each lined up with the circular sockets at the rear right and left of the lion voyager zord, the wolf’s rear legs and the bulls rear treads both folding up into their main bodies as they did. Meanwhile, the chameleon and eagle voyagers lined up with the sockets underneath on the front left and right of the lion voyager, the chameleons rear legs folding forward. As they did, a klaxon began blaring in Damien’s cockpit.

“I’ve got a red light here… Another one, I mean.” He said “Looks like the zords were down there too long, the docking automation’s fried… Guess we’re doing this the old fashioned way!”

Spencer grimaced - this was what he didn't enjoy about Damian. "Are you nuts? We don't even know how these things are supposed to fit together!"

"Do it... you will be fine." Kilena said blinking as she tried to get rid of the sense of deja vu that only Ellie and Damien knew anything about.

"Here goes... Something!" Damien yelled.

Damien slammed his controls forward, putting the Lion Voyager zord into a dive. As it went into the dive, all four of the other zords were forced into position, a mechanized locking sound being audible inside as they docked. The mass began a forward flip, the eagle and chameleon zords remaining static as the rest of the mech rotated around, the bull and wolf heads rotating upwards as the humanoid mass skidded to a halt on the ground. As it did, the lion head rotated 180 degrees, the mouth opening to reveal a silver face inside.

The five rangers were brought up into a cockpit inside the red crystal in the chest, the large silver and white room having a red trim around it along with four light strips which lit up green, pink, blue and black as the rangers chairs were brought into the cockpit.

“Solar Force Megazord, online!” Damien called “I can’t believe that actually worked!”

Spencer glared from the chair that had slid in from his spherical cockpit aboard the Wolf Voyager to join the others in the center. He was obviously in a less than triumphant mood. "Neither can I. You could have killed us with that crazy maneuver. Let's blow that lizard up and get back to base."

Kilena winced. It was certainly going to hurt tomorrow but he deja vu had been correct. "He had it under control... I trust him," The woman said softly.

Spencer nodded in response to Kilena's comment, though he had gone quiet, focusing on his section of the control board.

"Oh my..." Ellie gasped, looking around at the others. "I guess we really can take him now..."

“Okay, let’s focus up.” Damien finally said “Megaship, take the monorail passengers and evac. We’ve got this.”

"You got this!" Dan said quietly as she smiled at Keon. "And we have this..." She assured Keon as she started to look over the controls of the Megaship.

"We have this mistress," Melody added.

"Just remind me later I'm gonna need to learn how to properly pilot this thing," Keon quipped. "Maybe we'll have time to read an old 'Dummies' manual version?"

“Mistress can teach you.” Melody assured.

The Megaship turned and began flying away from the combat zone at high speeds as the Megazord began walking towards the lizard creature, which took a swing with it’s gold staff. As it did, the Megazord raised the Eagle zord arm, the top wing slicing through the staff and causing it to crash away, before kicking the creature with the bull foot. It bent the elbow of the chameleon arm, the chameleon mouth opening, a large metal tongue darting out, a claw on the end which gripped the lizard in place as the five crystals began glowing.

“Solar Force Megazord, Solar Strike!” Damien called as the tongue retracted into the chameleon head, beams of energy streaking forth from each crystal core, striking the creature in the chest and causing it to explode in a gigantic fireball “Solar Force Rangers, that’s what I’m talking about!”

"Can I go to bed now?" Kilena demanded her morph fading as she sunk to her knees tired looking. She did not even have the energy to celebrate right then and there.

"Sure," came Keon's remark over the comm. He had already lost his morph, finding the suit confining. At least in the military they had fatigues. "So long as that lizard didn't have a monkey friend."

"Bed second." Damien said, slumping back in his chair as his own morph collapsed, grinning as he looked around "First... Anyone know how to park this thing?"

Kilena sighed and slowly got up. “I got ya.” She said cryptically turning to Spencer and hugged him tightly not caring if he did not want the hug.

Spencer returned the hug as his own morph faded. In the moment, he realized - he'd missed the others. He'd been so focused on the day-to-day operations of rebellion, on working with Kyarah and Keon, that he hadn't taken the time to recognize his own feelings.

It had been a long week.
