Mission: Graduation Day
Location: Angel Grove Stadium
Timeline: 9:35 AM, 4/18/2051

Spencer was standing outside and looking up at the sky; it was something he didn't do much, ever. Before becoming a Ranger, he was hesitant to do it because of his parents' accident. Now he was unlikely to because he had experience of his own aboard the Megaship. He didn't need to see the sky when he was up there now on a regular basis. He shook his head, but had the strangest momentary thought - it ought to be raining. He felt his mind reaching out without conscious control. There were the Orange and Black rangers, up there where he was looking - in geosynchronous orbit above Angel Grove. Well, she was probably a half-mile off where he was actually looking, but when you considered the massive distances in play, being off by walking distance didn't really seem that important to the Blue ranger. Far closer, he could feel Damien - something strange was going on with the Red Ranger, but he wasn't psychic; no, that was Kilena's job. For him, he just could feel that they were alive or dead, and sometimes get basic information about their status.

He didn't mind that. After all, he didn't want know much about the thoughts going through the heads of Damien or Stephi in this case. The Gold ranger was the Valedictorian, and the Red ranger was giving the cadet command speech. Meanwhile, all Kilena and he had to do was stand there and look vaguely heroic. That was an easy job. He could handle an easy job - it was easier than fighting today.

Speaking of Kilena, he had to focus a bit to find her; apparently their powers were interacting again. He hoped that his mind reaching out didn't send her into an unexpected vision. He couldn't feel the other Red ranger, which he hoped was a good sign - that the Kaldore ranger was too far away from Earth to be noticed; and not that the alien invaders had found some way to shroud themselves. Still, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. He checked his crystal - he saw the face of a wolf appear when he swiped his thumb across it. As he touched it, he could feel that there was more to it than this. There were more Rangers. There was more to this than just the Rangers, too. When he closed his eyes, he could feel something - a whole galaxy spinning above him with a rainbow of different spheres. Even with the timeline change and the way his mind had to interpret it, he hadn't realized just how big it all was - and how small their team really was.

He put the crystal back in his pocket, and buttoned the top button of his dress uniform collar. He didn't have time for that revelation. He had to get inside in a hurry. So he headed in, focused on where Kilena, Damien, and Stephi were. It was amazing, being able to tell you were running late through supernatural powers rather than the simple expedient of looking at a watch.

He charged in, bypassing everyone else to get to the other Rangers. He took a heavy breath and straightened back up with a nod.

"Well, I made it! Break a leg out there, you two. Preferably not mine."
