| Physical Description | Adrian stands a little above average height, built more from years of functional work than from training for appearance. His frame is lean but solid from hauling equipment, climbing maintenance ladders, and working long shifts in variable gravity. His shoulders are broad but not exaggerated. It is in his grip strength and forearms that you see the true measure of his strength once engaged. His hands are calloused along with faint old scars that look more like tool slips than combat wounds. He moves efficiently. No wasted motion. When he stands still, it’s balanced from living on unstable decks or in shifting gravity. His face is observant. Not expressionless but under a silent control. The kind of face that looks like it’s always processing something as if contemplating a chess board. His hair is dark with early silver at the temples. Usually kept short enough for utility, but not strictly military. His eyes are steady with the habit of scanning exits, people, and systems automatically. When he focuses on someone, it feels like being measured; not judged, just looking to be understood. There’s nothing flashy about him. In a crowded room, he wouldn’t be the first person you notice. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Adrian is fairly quiet and reserved. He tends to be running multiple strings of thought through his head simultaneously. He is more of an observer of people, society, and culture than he is an active shaper of it and finds an almost steward level peace in observing and recording what he finds. He sees the world not as a set of interacting, individual systems, but as connected and whole. Even the fractures and breakdowns serve their purpose and make everything work as a unit. He does not make friends easily as most people feel judged by his glances or feel he is too uptight. What his demeanor doesn't easily show, however, is his fierce calling in life to protect and provide for those to whom he is loyal. |

| Personal History | Adrian was raised in transit. A nomad. Not in one city, but aboard a long-haul cargo vessel that spent more time between stars than near them. His father was the Captain who was just a man who believed that if people were counting on you, you showed up, no matter what. On a cargo ship, things don’t fail all at once. They fail quietly in cascades that aren't noticed until they are too far gone. Adrian learned early that survival isn’t about reacting to disasters, but instead never letting them happen. By sixteen he was maintaining systems to keep the ship space-worthy. By twenty he was redesigning them and creating them. He built predictive maintenance routines, redundancy loops, and manual overrides for systems no one thought needed them. When raider activity increased along routes, he started building defensive platforms — not weapons meant to overpower, but systems meant to confuse, misdirect, and buy time and protect instead of get into drug out fight. All of this, he did silently. He never logged most of it. Instead, he just handled it before anyone else could notice what was about to happen. He spent the rest of his time reading old philosophy archives and writing. He wanted to understand humanity and systems as a strung together unit. Why do people break? Why do systems fail? Why does power without restraint always seem to destroy what it claims it wants to protect? What he didn’t know was that his father, Elias, spent hours reviewing surveillance logs and videos. He saw Adrian working through night cycles fixing things before alarms ever triggered. He watched him quietly intercept problems so the crew never had to feel them. He never said anything. Instead, Elias just submitted Adrian's application to the Global Patrol Force Academy. Adrian found out after his acceptance. He was angry at first, feeling as if his father wanted to get rid of him for some reason. What had he done wrong? But then, his father explained. He hadn’t submitted the application because Adrian was exceptional or because he wanted to send him away. He signed him up because he was already doing the work of an officer and knew Adrian could excel for a better purpose. The Academy taught Adrian how to fight. How to lead, even when he didn't want to in the open instead of the shadows. But the lesson that stuck in his heart was simpler: He fights so the people behind him never have to know how close things came to breaking. |
